Born and raised in Michigan in a small town called Stevensville.  I am the oldest of 4 kids, one brother and two younger sisters.  From a young age, I enjoyed experimenting on my sister’s hair, nails and makeup that lead me to make a career out of it!  Now a successful nail technician since 1994 not just focused on my skill but building solid lasting relationships with all my clients.  I am very happy to say that I love my job and could not imagine a more fulfilling career.  Not a day goes by that I recognize how fortunate I am to have created a business marriage with my two partners.

Married to a supportive husband and blessed with an intelligent, thoughtful son and a sweet and charismatic daughter.  We also have a four legged, furry and lively Golden Doodle named Bailey who protects our home.  When not working, I enjoy yoga, skiing and hanging out with family and friends.

Most don’t know how competitive I am….especially playing cards!  Let me tell you all about a game called NERTZ, which I am hooked on!

Owning The Nail Studio has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. Entering nail school at the age of 20, I never imagined the journey that lay before me. Now, 26 years later, I have the privilege of working with the most talented and hardworking women in the business including my two partners who have become sisters to me. It was our dream to create a welcoming space where we would provide unparalleled service, using the finest products, where our clients can find a reprieve from the daily grind.

As a Boulder native, I understand how our harsh, dry climate and love for all things outdoors can affect our skin and nails. I am passionate about making my clients’ hands and feet look and feel amazing.

When I’m not at work I love spending time with my husband and two daughters. Goals outside of work include making more time for hiking, running, and rock climbing.  Very content and happy living on our little piece of land outside of Berthoud, with a collection of animals big and small, and summer days spent in the garden.

I grew up in a small but beautiful village in the mountains in Nepal, 4 hrs south Kathmandu called Bhimpedhi, a very old place with a river and temples.  With me being the second oldest of four sisters, we always loved polishing each other’s nails. After meeting my husband in Kathmandu over 20 yrs ago, I moved to Boulder in 2000. I decided to go to school and become an Aesthetician and Nail Technician. We have a beautiful and smart little boy named Bodhi Ratna and a dog named Himal (after Himalaya)… I have now been doing nails for 17 years and loving’ it every day.  My business partners are my second family!  I am blessed to serve such kind clients who have also become close friends and extended family.  I am honored to jointly own The Nail Studio since 2008.

You might be surprised to learn that I speak FOUR languages; English, Nepali, Newari (caste language), and Hindi.  I love cooking Nepali food and everyone at The Nail Studio looks forward to the days I bring in food to share. Music and dancing I really enjoy as well as spending time with my family and speaking to my family in Nepal on FaceTime.

I never expected to follow in my mom’s footsteps and become a beautician. I love working in the beauty industry as a nail technician and aesthetician. I would describe myself as an ‘artistic’ type person because I like to do the detail work (nail art, henna, lash extensions). Something that most people don’t know about me is that I am a good cook and love cooking for my family and friends. My family includes a loving husband & two adorable sons. The Nail Studio is the first place where I started my career and absolutely love this place!
